Man charged with killing 68-year-old victim by severing penis

A Bronx man paid a hefty price for sex on Saturday night — his penis — and his life.

A neighbor discovered the 68-year-old man at around 8:30 p.m. lying on his side in a bathtub filled with blood, and with his penis severed, police said.

Not far from the scene at Sheridan Avenue in Claremont, police located a suspect, Jerry Pagan, 32, a homeless prostitute who investigators believe had sex with the victim.

Police said Pagan admitted to the dismembering and that he had used scissors, although investigators discovered several knives in plain sight in the kitchen.

Pagan faces one count of murder, accusing him of the grisly attack. There was no indication that he had obtained a lawyer who could comment on the charge in his behalf.
