The 2017 New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place Friday, March 17, beginning at 11 a.m. It will begin at 44th Street and travel up Fifth Avenue to 79th Street.
Approximately 160,000 people will be marching in the parade, while about 2 million people are expected to watch.
The city Department of Transportation has issued the following street closusures for Manhattan beginning at 11 a.m., and ending at 5 p.m.:
Getting to the Parade The best way to get to the parade is to use public transportation. The 4/5/6/F/N/R/W/Q trains all travel along Lexington Avenue and will drop you off at different spots along the parade route.
If you’re traveling from Long Island, take the LIRR to Penn Station then take the E Train to 53rd Street and Fifth Avenue.
