A bipartisan cadre of state senators took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to take questions from Boston millennials, the latest effort in the state to reach out to the its coveted class of young voters. Senate President Stan Rosenberg joined his democrat colleague Eric Lesser, as well as Ryan Fattman, a republican, in a State House office Monday at noon to answer queries on mobile live-streaming, the MBTA, solar, late-night policy and whether previous generations of young people were more involved in politics than this one. The trio planned to also meet with two college political groups – the College Dems of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Alliance of College Republicans – Monday night in a meeting closed to the press. Earlier this month, Rosenberg organized a Millennial Engagement Initiative, a younger-voter-focused follow to last year’s Commonwealth Conversations tour, the senator said in a February announcement. He picked Sen. Lesser, who according to CBS is the senate’s youngest politician at 30 years old. “Senator Lesser and I are passionate about making sure we’re out there, talking with young people and bringing their insights back to the Senate,” Rosenberg said in the news release.
They also plan to stop by at Facebook’s Cambridge outpost, that release said.
