So it turns out that Matt Damon — father of daughters — knew about the time Harvey Weinstein harassed Gwyneth Paltrow. And despite being the father of daughters, he said and did nothing. Typical!
In an interview with ABC News on Monday, the 47-year-old admitted that Ben Affleck told him about the incident. “I never talked to Gwyneth about it, Ben told me. But I knew that they had come to whatever, you know, agreement or understanding that they had come to, she handled it. She was, you know, the first lady of Miramax. And he treated her incredibly respectfully.” OK, but what are you even talking about, my dude?
Damon also insisted that he only knew of Weinstein, 65, as a generally gross dude, not as someone who allegedly serially sexually harrassed and assaulted women from all over — despite knowing about Paltrow second hand. Mmkay!
“So people say, ‘everybody knew,’ like, yeah I knew,” Damon explained. “I knew he was an a–hole, he was proud of that. That’s how he carried himself. I knew he was a womanizer. I wouldn’t want to be married to the guy. But the criminal sexual predation is not something that I ever thought was going on. Absolutely not.”
Sorry, not sorry Damon. We’re um, how do you say, not buying this bullsit. OK, thanks!
