The global grand prize winners, one from each of the MPC categories, will receive a once-in- a-lifetime photography expedition to New York City and a meet-and-greet with Michael Bloomberg, the United Nations Spe- cial Envoy for Cities and Climate Change. The three winners of the 2014 Metro Photo Challenge will take part in a photography trip that will include cap- turing the beautiful city scenery and soaking up the bustling atmosphere. They’ll also enjoy a spe- cial guided photo experi- ence to capture the na- ture of big-city living. The photographs the winners take during their expedition will be pub- lished in Metro editions the world over, giving the winning photographers the worldwide recogni- tion they deserve.
Metro Photo Challenge was introduced 10 years ago in Sweden and ran globally for the first time in 2007.
MPC aims to connect people around the world through the universal language of photogra- phy and to reward out- standing photographers through local recogni- tion and global prizes.
