Missing pregnant woman found dead in Bronx basement

An early Wednesday morning police search has recovered the body of a five-months pregnant woman who was missing since Sunday.

Andrea Caruth, allegedly last seen Sunday morning by her boyfriend, Lincoln Grant, was found dead in a crawlspace below her Corsa Avenue home in Baychester, the New York Daily News reported, adding that her cause of death was not immediately clear.

“Her boyfriend just said that she got up Sunday morning and was going outside,” her sister, Angel Caruth, told the Daily News.

Caruth’s disappearance led to apolice search in a nearby park late Tuesday and early Wednesday, Pix11 stated in a related article. Grant allegedly reported her missing because Caruth had not communicated with him and had left her possessions at home.

There have been no arrests, but police are currently questioning a person of interest, Pix11 added.
