While many politicians have bowed out of attending Friday’s inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States, one held her head high — even if her lips were sometimes pursed. Trump’s Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, is in attendance alongside her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
“I’m here today to honor our democracy & its enduring values,” Clinton tweeted just before 11 a.m. “I will never stop believing in our country & its future.”

Naturally, just like the election that preceded it, Twitter’s reaction to Clinton’s attendance was divided.

@HillaryClinton No. You had no obligation to co-sign this nonsense.— Jeremy M (@thismyshow) January 20, 2017
@HillaryClinton you should be taking the presidential oath today. Thank you for your class, leadership, and dedication to our country.— Cole Ledford (@ColeLedford11) January 20, 2017

@HillaryClinton You are class. Period.— Barack Posnanski (@tonyposnanski) January 20, 2017
As the cameras captured the arriving guests, Clinton was sometimes seen with her lips pursed, but she was also smiling at times, too.
In fact, the one person who truly looks like he doesn’t want to be there is Trump’s 10-year-old son, Barron.
