‘Mob Wives’ star Angela ‘Big Ang’ Raiola dead at 55

‘Big Ang’ Raiola, the larger-than-life star of ‘Mob Wives,’ died Thursday morning after a long cancer battle.

The 55-year-old Brooklyn-born TV star was surrounded by friends and family as she fought stage 4 brain and lung cancer, the New York Daily News reported. Her Twitter account confirmed that she died around 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Raiola appeared on ‘The Dr. Oz Show’ on Feb. 16, according toE! online, revealing that her doctors had given her a grim prognosis: a 30 percent chance of survival.

“It’s shocking what happened,” her appearance on ‘Dr. Oz’ was quoted by E! “First I thought I was cancer-free. I was gonna have a big celebration … and then a month later, I was stage 4.”
