MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ bans Kellyanne Conway

Top White House aide Kellyanne Conway has been banned from a prominent morning news program for her lack of credibility.

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hostMikaBrzezinski blasted Conway on Wednesday’s broadcast, calling President Donald Trump’s counselor “notcredible anymore.”

“At times in recent days, Kellyanne Conway has struggled to be on the same page, to say the least, as the rest of the staff in the White House,” Brzezinski said, citing Conway’s comments on recently resigned national security advisor Michael Flynn. Those comments contradicted statements from White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

“We know for a fact that she tries to book herself on this show — I won’t do it,” Brzezinski continued. “Because I don’t believe in fake news, or information that is not true … every time I’ve ever seen her on television, something’s askew, off or incorrect.”

Co-host and former congressman Joe Scarborough jumped in, mirroring Brzezinski’s sentiments. He said Conway is “out of the loop” and is left out of “key meetings.”

“It is equally as bad that a spokesperson in the White House actually goes out and makes things up, she doesn’t know, she doesn’t have the information,” he said.

“She’s just saying things just to get in front of the TV set and prove her relevance,” Scarborough continued, citing Conway’s appearance on NBC’s “Today” show Tuesday.

Conway’s Valentine’s Day interview with “Today” host Matt Lauer also lost the top aide points, when Lauer said her narrative on Flynn’s resignation “makes no sense.”

Though neither “Morning Joe” nor MSNBC has released a formal statement on Conway, Brzezinski made it clear: “Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show, at least as long as I’m on it, because it’s not happening here.”

CNN has also cited credibility concerns regarding Conway, and moved to block her following the “Bowling Green Massacre” statements earlier this month.

Conway came under harsh criticism when on Feb. 3 she cited a massacre masterminded by two Iraqis in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which served to bolster her argument in support of the Trump administration’s immigrant travel ban.

Conway criticized the media for not covering the massacre, which never actually happened.

Previously, she famously coined the phrase “alternative facts” after Spicer made claim that Trump’s inauguration crowd “was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period.”

Responding to NBC’s Chuck Todd, who called Spicer’s claim a falsehood, Conway said the press secretary “gave alternative facts.”
