The Madden shooting prompted police to urge pepoole to stay away from the downtown marketplace where the Madden 19 Tournament was being held, according to reports.

“Mass shooting at the Jacksonville Landing. Stay far away from the area. The area is not safe at this time. STAY AWAY #TheLandingMassShooting,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter. The Associated PRess reported that several people were taken to hospitals after the mass shooting.
