NBA Free Agent Watch: Which 5 players are most likely to sign with new teams?

Recent announcements from Lebron James and Dwayne Wade (opting out of contracts)have sparked the imagination of many hoping to see the NBA’s top superstars in different team colors. Unfortunately for them, it is more likely than not that these two,along with other top-tier players such as Kevin Love and Kawhi Leonard, resign with their current squads.

And so the attention is turns to some other NBA players who may be on the move when free agency officially begins Wednesday. Here are Metro’s best guesses as to wherea trio of notable players will play in 2015-16:

LaMarcus Aldridge, Forward, Trailblazers

Through varioussources, it has been rumored Aldridge has already informed the Trail Blazers of his intent to leave.The 6-foot-11 big man has improved his game over the years and is an all-around offensive stud.

The most suitable fit for Aldridge is the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are expected to not bring back guard Danny Green to make room for the signing on Kawhi Leonard and Aldridge.

There is also the perceived notion that Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobli are on their way out in the next couple of years, with Aldridge finding an ideal fit in San Antonio’s offensein his 29-year-old season.

Most likely landing spot:Spurs

DeAndre Jordan, Forward, Clippers

The 26-year-old may be the most coveted free agent to hit the market this offseason.

Jordan finished the 2014-2015 season with his best numbers yet. The six-year pro put up an 11.5 points per game, 15 rebounds per game and a staggering field goal percentage of .710 which is second best all-time during a regular season, to none other than Wilt Chamberlain.

The Clippers relied heavily on players such as Chris Paul,Blake Griffin andeven shooter J.J. Redick. Jordan may ponder the fact that if he moves to another team he could very well be the star with the amount of times he will get to touch the basketball.

Both Los Angeles teams, Milwaukee, New York and Dallas have all expressed interest. However a recent report stated Jordan is 50/50 on going back to the Clippers or joining Dirk Nowitski. Most think the latter.

Most likely landing spot: Mavericks

Danny Green, Guard, Spurs

Known as a great role player, Green has been the focus of teams such as the Mavericks and Pistons.

Though he had arough start to his career, Green was picked up off the waiver-wire by the Spurs and started in the D-League before climbing the ranks to the NBA and becoming one of the games best sharpshooters.

The 28-year-old averaged 11.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2 assists on a Spurs team which seems to have no interest in resigning him.
