Did Netflix know HBO was going to announce its big streaming service news today? Maybe. That might explain the timing of their announcement that they’d captured one of the white whales of beloved television shows. That’s right, all 10 seasons of “Friends” will be available to stream starting Jan. 1, which the company announced via a coy video of the Rembrandts playing the beloved “Friends” theme song, “I’ll be there for you” at the New York pop up Central Perk while an annoyed Gunther (James Michael Tyler) prepped coffee in the background.
