A giant hockey stick that will be visible from the Massachusetts Turnpike was revealed on Tuesday morning at the Bruins’ new training facility.

A crane lowered the giant stick, a 68-foot replica of a Warrior Covert QRL hockey stick, into position at the Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton, CBS Boston reported.

The new facility is expected to open in September, according to the Eagle-Tribune, which described the practice space as part of a larger development called Boston Landing that will incorporate area for retail, offices and a Boston Celtics training location.

The replica stick was constructed by Diamond Iron Works in Lawrence, CBS added. It had been scheduled to be hoisted into its final position on Monday, but those plans were changed due to high winds in the area.

Once it is finally in place, the stick will be visible to motorists on the Massachusetts Turnpike, the Eagle-Tribune added. The giant stick will be rewrapped each summer to promote the latest model hockey sticks.
