New outdoor food hall Bowery Market brings serious beach vibes

Outdoor eating just went year-round at the city’s newest food hall.

In place of a former auto body shop on the corner of Bowery and Great Jones Street isThe Bowery Market,looking like a small fishing village. Five restaurants are clustered in corrugated metal shacks:

Alidoro: The gold standard in Italian sandwiches has opened its third location, cramming enough ingredientsinto their shackto serve over 20 varieties

The Butcher’s Daughter: The Californian veggie-focused spot brings breakfast tacos, bowls and fresh-pressed juices

Pulqueria: The Mexican taco spot expands from Chinatown, bringing along its Pineapple Bomb cocktail served in a cored pineapple

Sushi on Jones: Former Sushi Dojo chef David Bouhadana heads up this new concept, according to Zagat

Champion Coffee: The Greenpoint coffeeshop is back in Manhattan; it had a stand in the original Gansevoort Market but didn’t sign on for its new location

Each shop has a handful of stools, and there are benches for seating as well. The Bowery Market is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and promises to be open year-round.
