New York Fashion Week: Michael Kors fall 2015

Opposites attract, and Michael Kors’ show proved just that. Take the opulent fox fur robe coat that opened the show. It was paired with a simple lean charcoal tank dress.

Elsewhere, Kors mashed-up traditional tweed with feminine feather embroidery and bedazzled a silky pajama set for a night on the town.

Despite such dueling delights Kors proved once again that what he’s best at is straight-ahead classic American sportswear: ultra-wearable luxe knits in earthy tones, head-master-at-a-New-England-prep-school checkered coats and slouchy mannish wool trousers. They made us long for colder weather, and with our current temps, that’s saying a lot.
