Last fall, sisters Laura and Kate Mulleavy were inspired by the sci-fi classic “Star Wars,” and watching this season’s skintight leather pants, vampy thigh-high patent boots and black mini skirts hit the runway it made you wonder if “Pretty Woman” was on repeat in their studio. Following the sexed-up looks, which, it should be noted, were paired with smart tweed blazers, the designers got back to familiar territory. Rodarte’s otherworldly sprites, in ethereal one-shouldered dresses, soon made way for the collection’s grande dame: the haute gypsy. Glam gowns with tiers of shimmery sequins, crystals and feather trims closed the show. We wouldn’t be surprised to spot one of these peacocks on the Oscar red carpet come Sunday. Trends: Plunging necklines, tweed, guncheck coats
Instaworthy: The eyebrow raising tight leather pants or the shimmery gowns that closed the show.
