Take a virtual tour of one the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s newest exhibits courtesy of the New York Times.
“The Gray Lady” gave fans an upclose peek inside “Takashi Murakami: Lineage of Eccentrics” with an awesome 360-degrees video posted on the newspaper’s Facebook page on Thursday. Viewers can see pieces like Murakami’s 59-foot “Dragon in Clouds-Red Mutation,” as well as the Japanese contemporary artist himself, in the short, but nonetheless amazing, clip.
The new exhibit is a collaboration between the famed artist, the MFA Boston, as well as Japanese art historian Nobuo Tsuji. “Lineage of Eccentrics” highlights Murakami’s iconic style which draws “influences from manga, anime and other elements of contemporary pop culture,” according to the museum.
