Hey Pittsburgh Pride-goers, here’s some good news to wash that unfortunate Iggy Azalea news out of your brain: Ever-accommodating Nick Jonas has swooped in to take over the headlining spot left vacant after Azalea backed out of the event amid protests over her less-than-positive Twitter history.
We’re thrilled to announce that multi-platinum selling recording artist and actor Nick Jonas is the new headliner… http://t.co/PvRuUR5Tgb

“When I heard about the difficult position Pittsburgh Pride was in just days before their event, I knew I had to find a way to help,” Jonassays in a statement. “I’m excited to do what I can to support the LGBT community in Pittsburgh, and I look forward to seeing you this Saturday as we celebrate together.”
The move is hardly a surprise from Jonas, who over the past couple of years has gone out of his way to acknowledge and cater to his gay following by performing at gay clubs and, you know, doing as many photoshoots in his underwear as his crotch-grabbing would allow.”I don’t know if I’d necessarily call myself a gay icon,” he previouslytoldRolling Stone. “But my goal in the last year was to expand and grow as a person and an artist, and embracing my gay fans was a priority. Some of my gay friends have thanked me for that, and that’s a really good feeling.”
