There’s a whole lot more to Nicki Minaj than having the most infamous backside in music. (What, don’t tell us the 39 million people who watched that “Anaconda” music video just like the song.) Minaj shows a raw, emotional side of herself in her new MTV documentary, “My Time Again,” premiering Sunday at 10 p.m. The second of three docs (her first one “My Time Now” aired four years ago), Minaj lets her guard down and gets real about one of the most emotional years of her life, which she experienced while working on “The Pinkprint.” Minaj talks about being broken (“If you never break, you never know how much pressure you can take”), ending an 11-year relationship and the pressure of having literally every day for months on end booked with events leaving little time for anything else. (“What is all this for if I’m not with the people I care about the most?”) She also reveals more information about the abortion her had in high school and talks a lot about what her thoughts on motherhood are now. But this being Nicki Minaj, it’s not all tears. Mostly, it’s a look at just Minaj being Minaj: goofy, smart and genuinely down to earth. It also gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the “Anaconda” video and that infamous Video Music Awards wardrobe malfunction. Tune in to find out what Beyonce told Minaj about that moment, and to witness her convo with Katy Perry shortly after it happened. “My Time Again” premiers Sunday at 10 p.m. on MTV.
