If there’s ever a time when our hearts don’t skip a beat at the sight of Justin, JC, Joey, Lance and Chris in the same photo, it’ll be when we’ve stopped pop-and-locking forever.
The men of the biggest boy band in the world reunited last night to celebrate JC Chasez turning 40 — and can we just take a moment to say, damn, taking the last 14 years off being in a boy band has been good to them?
Yes, that was a not-so-subtle hint that maybe it’s time to throw together a little something-something? Justin’s caption might actually be the best part: “JC’s 40th… And, if you don’t know now you know…” Read: Despite all the rumors of bad blood, just because Justin broke up the boy band to somehow become even more famous as a solo artist doesn’t mean he broke up with the boys, too. They proved they still had their old moves at a surprisetwo-song setduring the 2013 VMAs. And at this point, every pop group that defined the ‘90s has made the rounds on a reunion tour: NKOTB, 98 Degrees, Sugar Ray, Third Eye Blind, O-Town and that other major boy band you don’t mention in the presence of *NSYNC fans. There’s even a perfect occasion coming up: the 20th anniversary of their first-ever single, “I Want You Back,” which came out in October 1996. Or next June, when *NSYNC get their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Or whenever, we’ve got a conference room if they just need some rehearsal space. Bottom line is,wewantyouback.
