NYC street closures for Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show

Everything you need to know about Macy’s 4th of July fireworks: start time, official viewing spots, street closures

If you have plans to watching the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Show over the East River or the Coney Island fireworks show, be advised there will be several street closures in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

This will be the 41st annual Macy’s Fireworks show and will be their “largest show” in over a decade, according to Macy’s.

The New York City Police Department and Department of Transportation has released a long list of street closures in the area for the Fourth of July celebrations. To avoid extra traffic, review the list of street closures below.

The following streets will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 for the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Show from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.:

FDR Drive between Montgomery Street and East 63rd Street

FDR Drive Service Roads between Montgomery Street and 63rd Street

Montgomery Street between Cherry Street and FDR Drive

Delancey Street between Lewis Street and FDR Drive

East Houston Street between Baruch Place and FDR Drive

Avenue C between 13rd Street and Avenue C Entrance Ramp to FDR

The following streets in Brooklyn will be closed for the Coney Island 4th of July fireworks show from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
