Kid Rock — a man that was briefly married to Pamela Anderson, for some reason — is a Republican. And not just a regular ol’ Republican: He’s a full on Trump supporter. The kind that likes to wave the confederate flag around on stage during his performances, even though he’s from Michigan.
So take that into consideration when I offer up the following terrifying news: Kid Rock is maybe probably running for the Senate. That’s right. No, it’s fine, take your time.
I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real… https://t.co/RRVgISDFeq The answer is an absolute YES. pic.twitter.com/uYCUg6mjW1

I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real,” he wrote, referring to the very straightforward kidrockforsenate.com. “The answer is an absolute YES.” He followed up with a tweet promising a major announcement in the near future. And though he hasn’t filed any documents with the Federal Election Commission, if he’s for real he’ll likely run as a Republican against Michigan’s incumbent Sen. Debbie Stabenow. I have chills, y’all. Running for political office in this country has just become a cool pastime for entertainers and I’m not here for it.
Kid Rock follows in the footsteps of a larger, er, rock — aka The Rock, aka Dwayne Johnson — who either can not or will not stop talking about maybe running for President of the United States.
I plead — much like the sage African-American grandmothers that came before me have for centuries — that Jesus take the damn wheel on this one.
