One lucky New Yorker could win free Seamless for 20 years as part of a promotion celebrating 20 years of the food delivery app in the five boroughs.
Seamless launched in 1999, allowing New Yorkers and other hungry users across the world to get food delivered with just the touch of a button. Seamless, which merged with Grubhub in 2013, connects its customers to nearly 11,000 restaurants across New York City.
New Yorkers have ordered so much Seamless over the years that the company’s delivery partners have driven, biked, and walked enough miles to cover the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade route over 32 million times, run the New York City Marathon over 3 million times, and cover NYC’s subway tracks over 95,000 times, per the company.
In honor of its 20th anniversary, the food delivery app is hosting a variety of promotions and activities. Among them are a street naming celebration, a partnership to fund scholarships for New York City public school students and, of course, the chance to win free Seamless for 20 years.
Seamless Promo: how to enter to win free Seamless
Beginning Feb. 20, New York City diners can enter to win 20 years of free food delivery by entering the Seamless promo code 20YEARS at checkout when ordering from a New York City restaurant through your Seamless account online or in the app. The winner will specifically get a weekly $100 Seamless credit throughout those two decades.
The more you order, the more chances you have to win, according to the company. Only one New Yorker will win the 20 years of free Seamless, but if you miss out on that price, you’ll still have the chance to get some free food delivery. Twenty New Yorkers will win one year of free Seamless, with a weekly $100 Seamless credit throughout that year.
Additional Seamless promo codes or surprises will pop up throughout the year as part of the company’s 20th anniversary.

As another celebration of the city, Seamless is facilitating donations to NYC Kids RISE, a nonprofit that aims to make attending and graduating from college more achievable for all New York City public school students, through its “Donate the Change” feature.
Donate the Change, which launched last October, lets diners round their purchases up to the nearest dollar, with the change supporting a charitable cause or public interest organization.
From now through Feb. 28, Donate the Change will benefit NYC Kids RISE to fund college scholarships for New York City public school students.
