The man who one-time had the richest contract in NFL history is now prepared to write perhaps the most important check of his life.
Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath appeared at a press conference on Sunday morning, held by the parents of Perry Cohen and Austin Stephano, the Florida teenage boys who have been missing since Friday when they went out on their boat and never returned. Namath is a neighbor of the boys and is not only offering his visibility to raise awareness that they are missing but he is opening up his bank account to do so. The former New York Jets quarterback said he will pay $100,000 for the safe return of Cohen and Stephano. The boat that the two boys used has been found as the search and rescue continues but there have been no gains made in finding the two missing 14-year old boys.
