Any woman that has decided to take the plunge and go for a pixie cut will tell you that growing your hair back can be real akward.

So awkward that I’ve heard some women plot to hide away for a year on a remote island while their pixie cut grows out.

Jennifer Lawrence famously chopped off most of her luscious locks a year ago this month, and we can say with a certain degree of envy and awe that the Hunger Games star has avoided all the awkwardness of growing a pixie cut out.

Rember how big of a deal it was when JLaw cut off her hair? People were getting news alerts on their phone about it! Well, at least John Steward was:

Here we are now, a year later, and Jeniffer Lawrence’s hair is growing out fantastically.

We’re really not surprised that she’s managed to avoid the horrible “is it a bob, or is it just her trying to grow it out?” look that plagues so many women who want to leave their pixie cut behind.
