PHOTOS: Show some love for the ugly dogs on National Dog Day

National Dog Day is August 26 and it’s a very special day to celebrate and give recognition to our favorite four-legged friends. Animal advocate Colleen Paige founded the day in 2004.

While all dogs are considered as special creatures, there are some dogs that look different from their other canine comrades.

Instead of celebrating the world’s most perfect puppy, let’s celebrate the most magnificent mutts of the world – the “ugly” dogs.
