Police in Lowell are reportedly searching for two suspects in connection to a shooting that left one injured Thursday evening.
Two gunmen opened fire on downtown Lowell near Central Street around 7 p.m. before taking off in a black Subaru, WHDH reported. However, Lowell Police Superintendent William Taylor did not confirm the victim’s injury. The victim was reportedly taken for treatment to a Boston trauma center around 7:30 p.m. According to police sources, cited by The Lowell Sun, one suspect was wearing a black hoodie and the other was wearing a baseball cap. The Lowell Sun also reported that, according to a police radio broadcast, the car seen fleeing the scene had Massachusetts plates with the number 141XDI.
