Wild horses didn’t stop these animals from frolicking in one of the season’s biggest snowstorms.
Two ponies were spotted in Staten Island Tuesday morning as Stella was passing through the city, bringing wind and an ugly mix of sleet and snow, according to police.
A man saw the two small horses in the middle of the road near Richmond Avenue and Hylan Boulevard just before 10 a.m. as he was heading to work — but was able to capture them using a tow strap before police arrived.

The ponies were returned to their private owner, who lives on Wakefield Road, soon after. They apparently got loose after a barn door blew open during the storm.
No injuries were reported and the owner is not facing any arrests or summons.
