As long as the internet has existed pornogrpahy (for the most part) has been free. Now Pornhub.com, perhaps the largest adult media conglomerate, wants people to pay for a premium porn service.
Creatively named Pornhub Premium, the new Hulu like service promises users “the cadillac of porno.” What does that entail exactly?
With the new Pornhub Premium service users can expect to see no ads, “exclusive content,” and “high quality HD.”
The service costs a whopping $9.99 a month. If someone is already paying for Netflix and Spotify as well that comes out to about $30 a month just for streaming media services.
We imagine that selling Pornhub premium to users will be a tough sell. Why? Well we imagine most of the users have been raised to accept the fact of life that porn is free.
The company is pushing as hard as it can though and even released a video advertising the new service:
