Our long national nightmare — the 21st season of “The Bachelor” — is finally over. But “The Bachelorette” has just begun, and it already looks like it’s going to be one of those terrifying waking dreams that you can’t quite snap out of. And Rachel Lindsay, who is making major waves as the first black Bachelorette, is already dealing with some racially charged skullduggery. When “The Bachelorette” introduced a handful of the contestants who would be vying for Lindsay’s heart, things took an awkward, supremely ignorant turn. Some future contestant slash random dude named Dean had this to say upon meeting his maybe future wife: “I’m ready to go black, and I’m never going back.” Ex-squeeze me?
