The Super Bowl champion Patriots’ two biggest rivals both needled the organization with alleged, nit-picky rulebook violations this off-season and a day after the Jets accused the Pats of tampering, the Ravens actually got a rule change implemented. The Ravens’ official Twitter account was proud to Tweet out at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday that, “NFL owners have passed the rule proposal banning the use of ineligable receivers like the Patriots did in the AFC divisional playoffs.” The pro-Patriots segment and pro-spell-check segment of theTwitter-verse was quick to point out that “ineligable” is not a word, but nonetheless, the Ravens have gotten their way after Bill Belichick’sscheming in a 2014 AFC Divisional Round game, won by the Pats 35-31, helped confuse Baltimore’s defense in the second half.
