Robocall threats reported at Boston schools

Two Boston schools were among several in the region targeted by threatening “robocall” messages on Monday, police said.

Boston College High School and East Boston High School both received threats at 10:45 and 10:46 a.m. Monday morning, Boston Police spokeswoman Myeshia Henderson said.

Outside the city, high schools in Newton, Arlington, Haverhill, Lawrence, Brockton, Billerica, Amherst, as well as a middle school in Chatham, all received threats via telephone Monday, according to multiple reports.

The Boston Police Bomb Squad also investigated threats at Suffolk County House of Correction in Roxbury, according to The Boston Globe.

In January, several schools in the region reported received threatening calls, includingBoston College High.

None of the threats have been deemed credible.
