Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been dropping not-so-subtle hints about his desire to play a large role in President-elect Donald Trump’s inner circle and it seems dreams come true.
A senior Trump official told The Wall Street Journal that Giuliani is the favorite for secretary of state, a position that could have gone to John Bolton, the former US ambassador to the United Nations, who was also a finalist. Giuliani downplayed his position potential on ABC News over the weekend, saying “I have a very, very full life. So it would have to be something where I felt he really needed me and — not that I’d be the only one that could do it, but maybe that I could do it a little bit different or a little bit better than somebody else.” The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told The Wall Street Journal that the isn’t much competition – the job is Giuliani’s if he wants it, according to PIX11.
