New dad Ryan Reynolds has some theories as to why he’s so sleep-deprived lately. Or maybe he’s just trying to put a positive spin on life with a newborn. “Our baby in particular is, we think, allergic to sleep,” he tells Jimmy Fallon during an interview. “We think that she thinks she’s protecting us from the sleep monsters. Like, ‘Oh, I’ve got to keep them up or the sleep monsters will get them.'” Which, as adorable as that sounds, is asking for an awful lot of advanced, creative thinking for a 9-week-old.
