A veritable God of gourds, the as-yet-unnamed pumpkin from Red Apple Farm in Phillipstonweighed in at 1,020 pounds – enough guts to make more than 400 pumpkin pies-and was the biggest of four gargantuan orbs of seedy goopdelivered to the market this week. Then on Sunday, look for the BPM pumpkin patch on the plaza along the Rose Kennedy Greenway (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.), carve a pumpkin at “Pumpkinpalooza!”(11 a.m.-1 p.m.) or make a flower arrangement in a pumpkin vase (3-5 p.m., $25 per pumpkin).
