OK, the stickers? Awesome. Rainbow tongue? Genius. But Snapchat’s latest upgrade is about to upset a whole lot of their 1 billion daily users. (Sidenote: 1 billion daily users. Let that sink in for a second.) Related: More Snapchat ads are coming
The app just launched Chat 2.0, which essentially allows users to video chat and send audio clips. At first, that sounds pretty cool. But the annoying thing? Now anyone with a Snapchat accountcan call you. It also exposes your phone number to anyone using the Wi-Fi you are connected to. Related: The umbrella that takes the weather with you The good news is, you can turn off the call feature. To do this, go to Settings, Mobile Number, and click turn off “Let others find me using my mobile number.”
Maybe Snapchat should stick with just upgrading the sticker choices.
