Snooki dishes on what to expect from ‘The New Celebrity Apprentice’

2017 kicks off with “The New Celebrity Apprentice” making its premiere on Jan. 2 on NBC. With “The Donald” in the Oval Office, however, this season calls for a new power broker in the boardroom: action movie hero and former California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

On the show, 16 celebrities will compete for the title of “Celebrity Apprentice,” as well as for a $250,000 check to a charity of their choice. One of the contestants is Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, best known for her time on the hit reality series “Jersey Shore.”

When asked if she was a fan of “The Apprentice,” she reveals she never watched it before.

“When I got approached to do the show I had to do my homework,” Polizzi tells us. “I watched the previous season and it terrified me. I wasn’t sure if this was the show for me but I’m always down to test myself. The fact that Arnold was the host — I couldn’t say no to that.”

Schwarzenegger undoubtedly has some pretty big shoes to fill. Like it or not, Trump was iconic as the original host of “The Apprentice.”

“Seeing it firsthand, Arnold does things a little different that the viewers are going to like,” Polizzi says.

And how about Trump’s famous tagline, “You’re fired!” Will Arnold say something unique, like “Hasta la vista” maybe?

Polizzi says she can’t disclose what the tagline is but notes that it’s something very “Arnoldish.”

So what is the “Jersey Shore” star up to these days? Turns out life is pretty chill. The mother of two admits that when she’s not working, she enjoys to kick back with her family:

“Any time I have to spend with my kids, that’s what I do. We have movie nights — we get popcorn and watch different movies together,” she notes.

If Polizzi wins “The New Celebrity Apprentice,” her prize money will be donated to the North Shore Animal League America.

“I went to school to be a vet tech. Animals are my life,” she says. “[The League] supports no-kill shelters and helps find homes for the animals — making sure they’re loved.”

“The New Celebrity Apprentice” premieres on Monday, Jan. 2 on NBC at 8 p.m.
