Sorry Adele, Beyonce definitely deserves the Album Of The Year Grammy

The 2017 Grammys may have already divided the country more than last month’s presidential election. Adele and Beyonce are going head-to-head for the coveted Album of the Year award and the stakes are high!

Make no mistake: Bey’s “Lemonade” and Adele’s “25” are both masterful works of art. However, Beyonce slayed at least four different musical genres in a single album. Country: check. Rock: check. Pop: check. R&B: check. The production, lyrical content and vocal range on “Lemonade” are all on point — and don’t get me started on the visuals. Adele, we love you girl, but that award belongs to Bey.

And certainly, we’re not the only ones who think another Beyoncé snub from the Recording Academy is going to feel personal. We will never forgive the Academy for giving AOTY to Beck over Beyonce’s self-titled album in 2015.

On the bright side, given that Beyonce made Grammy-snubbed just as cool as Grammy-nominated, so Adele still wins even if she loses. It brings a whole new meaning to “Hello from the other side.”
