The New York Giants did well last year with the undrafted rookie free agent route, landing a promising and talented wide receiver in Roger Lewis. The Bowling Green standout contributed right away for the Giants and on Wednesday, it appears that the organization is checking in on another talented wide receiver flying under the radar. A source tells Metro New York that following his Pro Day, wide receiverGarry Brown met with the Giants on Wednesday. In addition, he met with several other teams as well but the interest from the Giants seems genuine. Brown, who played collegiately at California University of Pennsylvania, participated in a Pro Day on Wednesday at Duquesne University. Brown had a career total of 222 catches for 3,761 yards at the Division II program; 91 catches and 1,475 yards came last year in his senior season. He averaged an impressive 26.5 yards per kick return as well.
The New York Jets did not have a scout at the event but he met with the organization in January at the College Gridiron Showcase. Metro reported in January that Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan was at the showcase, which was held in Bedford, TX. Brown is expected to run next week at Cal’s Pro Day.
