You might not know the name Jamie Anderson — yet — but you’ve probably seen her face on TV recently. The elite-level snowboarder will be representing the country in the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang after taking home gold in slopestyle in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, but even if you knew none of this, her smile’s hard to miss.
She might be one of the older athletes on the U.S. Olympic snowboarding team, but she’s staring down good odds at taking home gold again in slopestyle as well as cinching a medal in big air, which is a new addition to the Olympic event roster. The key to her success, and striking frame, might just be her wellness regime.
Jamie Anderson is all about finding balance she details in an interview with The Washington Post, but this means a healthy dose of Eastern wellness traditions from yoga and meditation practice to Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. She even practiced a plant-based diet and Pranayama breathing. And it’s clear that it’s working. The adventurous athlete shares pics of her activities on Instagram — and the tiny swimsuits she does them in — putting those earned abs on full display.
In case you need a refresher on that golden smile of hers, here’s a picture Jamie posted two years to the day after taking home the gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics for slopestyle — a title she’s hoping to defend at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics this month.
In 2014, she was also featured in ESPN's Body Issue, for which she did a nude photo shoot. You can watch behind-the-scenes videos of the shoot and see the finished shots here:
