Are you a Demogorgon on the dance floor? Can you play like a pro at Space Invaders? If the answer to either question is yes, then you’ll want to check out this Stranger Things pop up bar in Boston this fall.
Just in time for Halloween, Precinct Kitchen + Bar will receive an ’80s-themed makeover as it transforms into Hawkins, Indiana, in honor of the hit Netflix series. While Strangers Things season 3 isn’t set to debut until 2019, fans of the show will be able to get their fix with classic arcade games, food and drink specials inspired by the series and more.
Stranger Things pop up bar comes to Boston
The Stranger Things pop up bar at Precinct Kitchen + Bar will debut Friday, Oct. 26 and will remain open nightly through Nov. 16. A DJ will be on hand every Friday and Saturday night, as well as on Halloween, playing your favorite ’80s jams during weekly dance parties, so make sure to get your Hopper and Eleven costumes ready.
Guests will get the chance to munch on all sorts of Stranger Things-inspired goodies in an Upside Down style area of the bar and patio. The menu will include dishes such as Dustin’s Pizza, Strange Popcorn and 11’s Sliders, which features deep fried chicken, malted waffle and maple bourbon butter.
On the drink side of things, Precinct Kitchen + Bar will try to find “Justice for Barb” wilth a special cocktail made with barrel-aged Laird’s Applejack and Woodford Reserve bourbon that’s served in a souvenir cup that honors the fan-favorite character. Other cocktails on the menu include the Cotton Candy Cosmo, the Banana Seat and a smoky drink dubbed the Eleven, which of course comes with an Eggo garnish.
And if you think you have the arcade skills to match Dustin, Mike, Lucas and Will, then try to hit the high score with all the classic games that’ll be set up at the Stranger Things pop up bar, which are rumored to include hits like Ms. Pac Man and Space Invaders.
