A suspected pipe bomb exploded underneath a car Wednesday evening, NBC New York reported.

The incident happened around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Bronx on the 3000 block of Roberts Avenue in Pelham.

The young man and woman in the car at the time of the explosion were uninjured, ABC New York reported.

“The explosive device was taped under the car; it blew out the right rear tire. The bomb was made of two aerosol cans and a pipe. It went off just as the car pulled up to the intersection,” ABC New York explained.

Officials reportedly do not believe the incident was terror-related.
