Taste of Times Square is your cheap eats hookup

Grabbing the right pre-theater dinner is key to a successfulTimes Square evening, and this is your chance to sample it all for as little as $1.

Taste of Times Square returns Monday, June 6, stretching between Broadway and 10th Avenue along 46th Street. More than 50 restaurants will be cooking up sample-dishes along the sidewalk for the bargain price of$1-$6, with everyone from big names likeGuy’s American and Carmine’s to House of Brews and newcomer Ding BBQ and Hot Pot taking part.

Returning this year is the festival’s beer garden on Restaurant Row (46th Street, between Eighth and Ninth avenues), with Heartland Brewery stocking the taps. There’s alsolive music, courtesy of the Hard Rock Cafe,and swing dancing.

Taste of Times Square is a production of the Times Square Alliance. It’s free to get in on the funfrom5-9 p.m.; food is purchased with tickets for sale on-site.
