Yesterday, news broke that music power couple Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, whose real name is Adam Wiles, have ended their 15-month relationship. To commence the grieving process, we’ve compiled a timeline of their relationship so we can look back on some highlights and laugh, cry and mourn together.

February 2015: Ellie Goulding introduces Taylor Swift to the Scottish DJ at the Elle Style Awards. A fan managed to snap a candid photo of the three celebs hanging backstage. In a June 2015 interview, Goulding confirmed that she was the one who played matchmaker for the couple.

March 27, 2015: Speculation about the pair’s relationship starts to surface after the two are seen getting cozy at a Kenny Chesney concert.

April 3, 2015: The couple pretty much confirms rumors of their relationship after stepping out and attending a HAIM concert together.

April 13, 2015: Taylor Swift’s BFF, Ed Sheeran, gives their relationship his seal of approval. “He’s cool. He’s really a nice guy,” the British singer-songwriter said on a New Zealand radio show.

May 17, 2015: Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are photographed engaging in some serious PDA at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, where she took home eight awards.

June 22, 2015: Calvin Harris tweets his support for his girlfriend after she penned a letter to Apple Music, criticizing the company’s decision to offer a free trial of their service without paying artists. “I just played a gig inside a giant owl and my girl just changed the entire music industry what a day,” he wrote.

August 17, 2015: Calvin Harris continues playing Taylor Swift’s knight in shining armor, engaging in a Twitter war with Zayn Malik after the former One Directioner retweeted what appeared to be a dig at Harris’ girlfriend.

October 13, 2015: Calvin Harris shuts down rumors of his split with Taylor Swift, even going so far as threatening to sue the tabloid that had spread the story. “It’s not going to be a ‘happy ending’ for everyone I sue for defamation of character for all these bulls—t stories bye bye,” he tweeted.

December 15, 2015: Taylor Swift celebrates her 26th birthday with her parents and boyfriend. From the photos, it looks like the DJ turned on his Scottish charm and succeeded in receiving Papa and Mama Swift’s blessings.

December 23, 2015: The duo spends Christmas together in Vail. Swift posted a series of wintery photos to her Instagram, chronicling her snowman-making day with Harris and her brother, Austin.

February 16, 2016: Though he couldn’t make it to the 2016 Grammy Awards because he was working in the studio, Calvin Harris shares a congratulatory message to his girlfriend via Twitter, posting a photo of her accepting her award for Best Album of the Year with the caption: “Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend.” He laterreunited with her at the after-parties.

March 2016: The couple celebrates their one-year annivesary with a tropical getaway — and, of course, they document the whole thingwith photos for the world to see.

April 17, 2016: Taylor Swift bleaches her hair a platinum blonde color, showing off her new look at Coachella. Apparently, some fans on Twitter have been claiming that this new ‘do may somehow be related to the pair’s later split — maybe it’s supposed to signal a new chapter in her life? Who knows.

May 20, 2016: Calvin Harris is involved in a car crash in Las Vegas, prompting him to cancel several shows. He was taken to the hospital and later released with minor injuries, according to ABC News.

June 1, 2016: News breaks across the Internet that Swift and Wiles have parted ways. Cue the sad music and bring on the tissues. We can only take solace in the fact that the split seems to have been pretty amicable, according to E! News.
