If you think the end of “Friends” was tough for you, try being Matt LeBlanc. The “Episodes” star and new host of “Top Gear” says that, following his run as Joey Tribbiani on “Friends” and “Joey,” he just wanted to disappear — or at least according to the Mirror, that is.

“I was burned out,” LeBlanc says, according to the newspaper. “I wanted to not have a schedule, not be somewhere. I was in a position to do that. My agent was bummed. Most actors call their agents and say, ‘What’s going on?’. I’d call mine and say, ‘Please lose my number for a few years.’ It was a very dark time. I almost had a nervous breakdown.”

He staved off that fate by moving out to his cattle ranch and shaving his hair into a mohawk. Hey, whatever works for you. I mean, “Joey” can be a lot to get over. Except maybe not so much? Because LeBlanc himself took to Twitter to clear a couple of things up: “I never had a nervous breakdown nor did I do an interview with the Mirror in the UK,” he writes. “So don’t believe the hype. But thanks.” Um, you’re welcome?
