The top 10 all vie for the chance to become the season 12 winner of “The Voice” tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

Update, May 1, 2017: Last week on “The Voice,” the top 12 of Season 12 showed America who the frontrunners are during two live shows. The April 24 show was more of a showcase for the talent, but eliminations started on the second night putting Troy Ramey (Team Gwen) and Mark Isaiah (Team Adam) in the bottom two.

“The Voice” 2017 – Season 12, Episode 20 – Live Top 12 Eliminations

Team Adam performed a tribute to the late Christina Grimmie with “Hey Jude.”

And later on in the week, coach Alicia Keys reminded her fellow coaches and competators that Season 12 will be her last season on the hit reality singing competition.

Update, April 20, 2017: This week on “The Voice,” eliminations continued with America and team coaches voting off contestants.

Update, April 13, 2017: Part three of “The Voice” Knockouts aired this week leaving America with the final 20 contestants. Or did it? Thanks to a little gimmick called Coach Callback, four contestants that were knocked out will return. “Road to the Live Show” aired on Tuesday, but no contestants were eliminated on the second night.

Here are the performances that slayed and the performances that just died.

“The Voice” 2017 – Season 12, Episode 15 – Knockouts Week 2, Part 3

Team Blake: Andrea Thomas vs. Lauren Duski

Andrea Thomas attempted to channel her inner Mariah Carey with Faith Hill’s “Cry,” which had Adam and Gwen in love.

Lauren Duski played up her husky tones with Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing at All.”

Blake had the final say.

Winner: Lauren Duski

Team Alicia: Jack Cassidy vs. Vanessa Ferguson

Jack Cassidy gave it his all with “Unsteady” by X Ambassadors, but Vanessa Ferguson showed her strength as an artist with “If I Were Your Woman” by Gladys Night & the Pips. Fergson impressed all the judges, but her coach was shouting “whoo!” during the standout performance.

Winner: Vanessa Ferguson

Team Adam: Davina Leone vs. Jesse Larson

Davina Leone gave a deconstructed, albeit pitchy, performance of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” which paled in comparision to Jesse Larson’s rendition of “The Letter” by The Box Tops. Adam said Larson’s performance reminded him of Cee-Lo Green.

Winner: Jesse Larson

Team Gwen: Brandon Royal vs. JChosen

Brandon Royal stepped up his game with Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song,” which oddly enough, Blake claimed to not know (despite hearing a previous season’s competitor perform the same song). JChosen has been pegged as a contestant to watch and he impresses judges with his take on David Guetta’s “Without You.”

Winner: JChosen

Team Blake: Aaliyah Moulden vs. Caroline Sky

Aaliyah Moulden gave Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” a shaky cover which bested Caroline Sky’s version of Etta James’ “At Last.”

Winner: Aaliyah Moulden

Team Gwen: Stephanie Rice vs. Troy Ramey

Stephanie Rice, singing Taylor Swift’s “Hunger Games” soundtrack hit “Safe and Sound,” went up against Troy Ramey, who took on Sia’s “Chandelier.” Ramey wasn’t on the same level as Rice, but Gwen decided he is a bigger asset on her team.

Luckily, Alicia saved her steal and snapped up Rice.

Winner: Troy Ramey

Steal: Stephanie Rice to Team Alicia

Team Adam: Malik Davage vs. Mark Isaiah

Is no one safe from the montage? Viewers of Monday night’s show missed out on Malik Davage’s uninspired take on Michael Jackson’s “Feel That Beat” up against Mark Isaiah’s ode to pop, Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.” Pop wins.

Winner: Mark Isaiah

Final standings:

  • Team Adam: Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson, Josh West, Hanna Eyre, Lilli Passero
  • Team Gwen: Joshua “JChosen” Hunter, Troy Ramey, Brennley Brown, Hunter Plake, Quizz Swanigan
  • Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda, Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue, Ashley Levin, Stephanie Rice
  • Team Blake: Lauren Duski, Aliyah Moulden, Casi Joy, TSoul, Aaliyah Rose

Country superstar Shania Twain will serve as a “key adviser” to the top 12 artists when the live shows begin on Monday, April 24. The live shows are the final phase of NBC’s singing competition where the viewers vote for their favorite.

Update, April 5, 2017: Part two of “The Voice” Knockouts premiere aired last night with what seemed to be less competition. Not only were the performances a little less strong, the contestants are actually friends and cheering each other on. Here’s your recap…

“The Voice” 2017 – Season 12, Episode 13 – Knockouts Week 1, Part 2

Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda vs. Dawson Coyle

Dawson Coyle followed Anatalia Villaranda’s cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Two Black Cadillacs” with Imagine Dragons’ “Demons,” but his performance was lackluster and shaky. The song isn’t easy, but Villaranda’s performance was solid and much more powerful.

Winner: Anatalia Villaranda

Team Blake: Enid Oritz vs. TSoul

Compared to his last decision between Blake Shelton had between Casi Joy and Felicia Temple, this one seemed pretty easy.

Enid Ortiz’s rendition of Adele’s “When We Were Young” was a great way to show off her range, but just because you’re wearing a sparkly dress doesn’t mean you’re Adele. Her performance just didn’t command attention the way TSoul’s did.

TSoul owned the stage during his rendition of Otis Redding’s “These Arms of Mine,” and – although Redding is one of the greats – TSoul gives his country coach a pretty simple choice.

Winner: TSoul

Team Gwen: Aaliyah Rose vs. Brennley Brown

Brennley Brown delivers a clear, emotional performance with “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson’s “Up the Mountain,” eliciting a “whaaat?” from Alicia. And that ending… goosebumps.

Aaliyah Rose covered “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by her inspiration, Meghan Trainor, but the performance was just OK and a bit pitchy in spots. Gwen gave her a standing O after her performance, but went with Brown.

Gwen’s sweetheart came in for the steal.

Winner: Brennley Brown

Steal: Aaliyah Rose to Team Blake

Moving on to the next round:

  • Team Adam: Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson, Josh West, Malik Davage, Hanna Eyre, Davina Leone, Lilli Passero
  • Team Gwen: Joshua “JChosen” Hunter, Stephanie Rice, Brandon Royal, Troy Ramey, Brennley Brown, Hunter Plake, Quizz Swanigan
  • Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda, Jack Cassidy, Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue, Ashley Levin
  • Team Blake: Lauren Duski, Aliyah Moulden, Casi Joy, TSoul, Andrea Thomas, Caroline Sky, Aaliyah Rose

Update, April 4, 2017: If you missed last night’s Knockout round on “The Voice,” this is what you need to know.

“The Voice” 2017 – Season 12, Episode 13 – Knockouts Week 1

Team Alicia: Chris Blue vs. Quizz Swanigan

Chris Blue wowed Alicia with his own take on Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” adding high notes, a slower tempo and energetic dance moves. The rendition isn’t perfect, but it had judges dancing in their seats.

Quizz Swanigan, the youngest “Voice” contestant to make it this far, hit the notes — with more accuracy than Blue might have — with Nick Jonas’ “Chains.” The judges loved Swanigan (Gwen even exclaimed “Wow!” a few times), but Alicia said Blue “tore up the whole building.”

Alicia chose Blue, but Gwen used her only steal to snap up Swanigan.

Winner: Chris Blue

Steal: Quizz Swanigan to Team Gwen

Team Adam: Autumn Turner vs. Hanna Eyre

Adam stole Autumn Turner from Alicia in the Battles, so this is their first time working together.

Gwen said Turner’s song choice (Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”) was a terrible decision. No one really wants to hear anyone sing that song but Miss Aretha. A comparison is bound to be drawn and Turner, while she isn’t cringe-worthy, didn’t deliver anything wow-worthy.

Hanna Eyre chose Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” and she nailed its simplicity and those angelic high notes. Does Turner have more potential? Probably, but Adam decided he “can’t live without” Eyre and sends Turner home.

Winner: Hanna Eyre

Team Gwen: Hunter Plake vs. Johnny Gates

Hunter Plake started on the keyboard to sing his take on Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is,” which was all his own. He broke the song down, made his voice soar and Gwen looked nearly ready to cry.

Johnny Gates tackled Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons,” but something was missing. Maybe Lady Gaga? “The Voice” is now missing Gates as Plake took the win.

Winner: Hunter Plake

Team Blake: Casi Joy vs. Felicia Temple

Casi Joy sang “My Church” by Maren Morris and did a nice job, but it wasn’t super exciting. Her coach seemed to enjoy it and that’s what counts.

Felicia Temple gave “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion everything that song deserves and a little more. Gwen and Alicia seemed floored by Temple’s vocals.

Picking the best of the best can be tricky, and while we would have been solidly #TeamFelicia, Blake said “Bye Felicia” and went with his country singer.

Winner: Casi Joy

Team Alicia: Johnny Hayes vs. Josh West

In the Knockout round, Johnny Hayes chose the Allman Brothers’ “Statesboro Blues” while Josh West took on a trickier song, “Carry On Wayward Son” by Kansas.

West fulfilled his rocker role with aplomb, but his energy waned as the song continued.

Hayes’ song might not have had the high-octane kick that “Carry On Wayward Son” does, but he made it look easy to own the stage and finished strong.

West ended up carrying on.

Winner: Josh West

Team Alicia: Ashley Levin vs. Lilli Passero

Lilli Passero paid tribute to Amy Winehouse with a cover of “Tears Dry on Their Own” and Ashley Levin channeled her inner Reba McIntyre for “Fancy” by Bobbie Gentry.

Passero did a fine enough job, but failed to catch the sultry tone of Winehouse or make the song excitingly her own. Levin, while not perfectly landing the lower notes, took the round, but Adam and Blake wanted the steal. Passero chose Adam and will sing another day.

Winner: Ashley Levin

Steal: Lilli Passero to Team Adam

Coming up …

Tonight, the Knockouts continue as Round 1 Part 2 of “The Voice” airs tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Update, April 3, 2017: Tonight the Knockout rounds of 2017 began with contestants performing against each other hoping to knock out the other and forge ahead in Season 12 of “The Voice.”

The four coaches will each have the chance to steal one more singer. The teams top out at eight per coach going into the Knockout round.

“The Voice” airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Check back with Metro to make sure you’re all caught up.

Update March 29, 2017: Looks like everyone’s got jokes. “The Voice” Twitter account is playing along and shared one of Blake Shelton’s jabs thrown Adam Levine’s way. Guy Fieri even got in on the fun.

Update March 28, 2017: The Battles are finally over after part four wrapped up on Tuesday night. Let’s see who made it through the culling process on “The Voice.”

The Battles Part 4, March 28:

Team Alicia: Lauryn Judd vs. Lilli Passero
“Every Little Bit Hurts” by Brenda Holloway

Sometimes connecting with the song means more to Alicia than talent, and that might be why Alicia had a beaming smile on her face when Passero started the song. Although Judd is exciting to watch, her take on the song read a bit superficial and earned her a ticket home.

Winner: Lilli Passero

Team Adam: Jesse Larson vs. Taylor Alexander
“Shameless” by Billy Joel (as performed by Garth Brooks)

“This paring makes no sense at all,” in Adam’s words. Alexander and Larson are kind of the leftovers, but they each build on their strengths in this number. Alexander brings the twang and a rich tone and Larson almost loses control of the high notes, but he is able to push through and exhibits a range that tops that of Alexander. Team Adam is the only team left with a steal, so one of these country boys were sent packing.

Winner: Jesse Larson

Team Gwen: Brandon Royal vs. Davina Leone
“In the Night” by the Weeknd

The chemistry here was a little … awkward? Leone doesn’t have the same stage presence that Royal does, so the coaches just kind of told her to sass it up. We’re guessing that’s what the crop top was for. Royal’s smooth voice was what the doctor ordered on this number, but Adam gave his last steal to see what else Leone has to offer.

Winner: Brandon Royal
Steal: Davina Leone to Team Adam

Here are your top 32, America:

  • Team Adam: Johnny Hayes, Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson, Josh West, Malik Davage, Hanna Eyre, Autumn Turner, Davina Leone
  • Team Gwen: Joshua “JChosen” Hunter, Stephanie Rice, Brandon Royal, Troy Ramey, Aaliyah Rose, Johnny Gates, Brennley Brown, Hunter Plake
  • Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda, Lilli Passero, Quizz Swanigan, Jack Cassidy, Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue, Ashley Levin, Dawson Coyle
  • Team Blake: Lauren Duski, Aliyah Moulden, Casi Joy, Enid Ortiz, TSoul, Andrea Thomas, Felicia Temple, Caroline Sky

Coming up next week: T.K.O.

The Battles Part 3, March 27

Alicia Keys started the night with no steals left, but Adam Levine had both of his. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton each had one steal left.

Team Blake: Josh Hoyer vs. TSoul
“In the Midnight Hour” by Wilson Pickett

Blake had a tough decision when the guys melded so well on stage.

Winner: TSoul

Team Alicia: Autumn Turner vs. Vanessa Ferguson
“Killing Me Softly” by Roberta Flack

Alicia was won over by Ferguson’s improvements and that the performer with a New York-vibe let the audience in, but it wasn’t over for Turner. Adam and Gwen tried to steal Turner, who ended up chosing the stricter Adam as her new coach.

Winner: Vanessa Ferguson
Steal: Autumn Turner to Team Adam

Team Adam: Johnny Hayes vs. Julien Martinez
“Hard to Handle” by Otis Redding

The song apparently was too hard to handle for the duo. During practice, John Legend tried to keep the two from going overboard, but during the performance, trying to pullback a bit left Hayes and Martinez pulling back too much.

The judges agreed that next to Hayes, Martinez barely existed.

Winner: Johnny Hayes

Team Gwen: Caroline Sky vs. Stephanie Rice
“The First Cut is the Deepest” by Cat Stevens

Gwen chose the song hoping the ladies could wring out the emotions. Rice impressed with her ability to control her voice, going from soft to belting the notes. Sky’s rocker vibe couldn’t save her, but Blake could with his final steal.

Winner: Stephanie Rice
Steal: Caroline Sky to Team Blake

Team Adam: Kawan DeBose vs. Malik Davage
“Love Me Now” by John Legend

Oh, sweet John Legend for letting these guys cover his song. During practice, coach Adam and mentor Legend were worried DeBose and Davage weren’t going to get it together … and they didn’t. The men tried to sing against each other instead of with each other.

The judges were split on this one. Blake said he preferred DeBose because of his range, but Gwen preferred Davage because she felt he had more of a stage presence.

Winner: Malik Davage

Team Alicia: Hunter Plake vs. Jack Cassidy
“Dancing on My Own” by Robyn

Alicia wanted to see Cassidy unleash his strong voice, so DJ Khalid helped him with the higher notes, but Plake ran the risk of being left behind as a backup singer. He needed to pick his “moment” on the stage.

Plake and Cassidy are friends off-stage and that showed as they sang incredibly well together.

Plake picked the softer moments to win over the judges, who didn’t think he had it in him. Adam and Gwen tried to get him on their team.

Winner: Jack Cassidy
Steal: Hunter Plake to Team Gwen

They did it again —saved TV time by using montages. Here are the quickies:

Team Blake: Enid Ortiz bests Valerie Ponzio with “Love Triangle” by RaeLynn

Winner: Enid Ortiz

Team Adam: Hanna Eyre vs. Sheena Brook with “Try” by Pink

Winner: Hanna Eyre

Team Gwen: Jozy Bernadette and Troy Ramey with “Angel Eyes” by the Jeff Healey Band

Winner: Troy Ramey

The teams are:

  • Team Adam: Johnny Hayes, Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson, Taylor Alexander, Josh West, Malik Davage, Hanna Eyre, Autumn Turner
  • Team Gwen: Joshua “JChosen” Hunter, Stephanie Rice, Brandon Royal, Troy Ramey, Aaliyah Rose, Johnny Gates, Davina Leone, Brennley Brown, Hunter Plake
  • Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda, Lilli Passero, Quizz Swanigan, Jack Cassidy, Lauryn Judd, Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue, Ashley Levin, Dawson Coyle
  • Team Blake: Lauren Duski, Aliyah Moulden, Casi Joy, Enid Ortiz, TSoul, Andrea Thomas, Felicia Temple, Caroline Sky

The Battles premiere part two, March 21

Team Gwen: Johnny Gates vs. Sammie Zonana
“I Drove All Night” by Celine Dion

It takes guts to perform a Celine Dion number in front of the superstar herself, but if you’re going to try to emulate a powerhouse and you can’t nail a spot-on impersonation, make it your own.

Gates and Zonana didn’t know Dion would be their mentor when they made their song choice. The folk rock radio rendition puts Gates front and center.

Winner: Johnny Gates

Team Alicia: Chris Blue vs. R.J. Collins
“Adorn” by Miguel

Since there is only room for one R&B powerhouse, the competition was fierce. Gwen swooned for Collins’ moves, but as her country boy Blakeput it, Blue is a star.

Winner: Chris Blue

Team Blake: Aliyah Moulden vs. Dawson Coyle
“Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina & the Waves

Blake came in to save Alicia’s castoff the night before, and during this round of battles, the roles reversed.

Winner: Aliyah Moulden
Steal: Dawson Coyle to Team Alicia

With the magic of TV, some battleswere held and shown only as part of a montage.

Team Adam: Nala Price went against teammate Josh West with “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears.

Winner: Josh West

Team Gwen: Aaliyah Rose and Savannah Leighton sang “Treat You Better” by ShawnMendes.

Winner: Aaliyah Rose

Team Blake: Micah Tryba vs. Andrea Thomas on Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts the Most.”

Winner: Andrea Thomas

Team standings:

  • Team Adam: Johnny Hayes, Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson,JulienMartinez,KawanDeBose, Taylor Alexander, Josh West,MalikDavage, Hanna Eyre, Sheena Brook
  • Team Gwen: Joshua “JChosen” Hunter, Stephanie Rice, Brandon Royal, TroyRamey,AaliyahRose, Johnny Gates, Caroline Sky,DavinaLeone,JozyBernadette,BrennleyBrown
  • Team Alicia:AnataliaVillaranda, Autumn Turner,LilliPassero,QuizzSwanigan, Jack Cassidy,LaurynJudd, HunterPlake, Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue, Ashley Levin,Dawson Coyle
  • Team Blake: LaurenDuski,AliyahMoulden,CasiJoy, Josh Hoyer, Enid Ortiz,TSoul, ValeriePonzio, Andrea Thomas, Felicia Temple

The Battles premiere, March 20

Let the battles begin (and we aren’t talking Blake’s zingers aimed at Adam). To whittle down the teams, singers go head-to-head, but there is always the chance another judge will steal the contestant not chosen to move forward with the press of a red button.

TeamBlake: Brennley Brown vs. Lauren Duski
“Better Man” by Little Big Town

Despite her lack of experience, 14-year-old Brennley makes it hard for Blake to “clear a lane” for the country gals when she goes against seasoned Nashville stage vet Duski.

Winner: Lauren Duski
Steal: Brennley Brown to Team Gwen

Team Gwen: JChosen vs. Kenny P
“I Was Made to Love You” by Stevie Wonder

JChosen, admittedly an easy steal for Adam and a blind audition four chair turner, lets his soul lose and made it Kenny P’s night to go home.

Winner: JChosen

Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda vs. Missy Robinson
“Tightrope” by Janelle Monae

Sixteen-year-old Villaranda might have had a leg up since the upbeat song seemed to be more her speed, making Robinson her backup singer.

Winner: Anatalia Villaranda

Team Adam: Gaby Borromeo vs. Mark Isaiah
“Pillowtalk” by Zayn Malik

Isaiah comes off as his coach’s favorite, but his Zayn Malik impersonation loses steam next toBorromeo. Still, Adam still thinks Isaiah’s talent is rare, so he keeps him on.

Winner: Mark Isaiah

Team Alicia: Felicia Temple vs. Quizz Swanigan

“Titanium” by David Guetta (featuring Sia)

Quizz Swanigan, 13, is the youngest contestant in show history, but his backstory pales considering Temple said she used to sing this song to keep her spirits up during rounds of chemo.

Adam tells the 28-year-old nurse that her only disadvantage is she isn’t a kid, but Blake said he loves the“the warmth in her rounder tones.”

Winner: Quizz Swanigan
Steal: Felicia Temple to Team Blake

Team Blake: Ashley Levin vs. Casi Joy

“How Blue” by Reba McEntire

Joy did exactly what coach Blake told her not to do— growl— which comes off as, he says, abrasive. The other coaches vie for their chance to nab Levin.
