Smartphones are a must for most people but their short battery life is certainly something we could live without.

A recent report by the publication Consumer Reports unveiled the five smartphones that last the longest.

But be warned, not a single iPhone model has made the top five and some devices are over two years old. The researchers, who tested the transmission of cellular signals, display and processor activity, emphasized that a large battery capacity is not always synonymous with durability.

Here are the smartphones that are top of the charge.

1. Motorola Droid Turbo in ballistic nylon
Its battery cannot be removed, but it does offer quick and wireless charging. Its performance lasts for up to 24 hours with 3900 mAh.

2. Samsung Galaxy S6 Active
Unfortunately, you can’t take out the battery, but this too can be charged wirelessly. After being powered up, the phone will last 24 hours on its 3500 mAh.

3. Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Again, the battery can’t be removed but it can survive 24 hours with 3,220 mAh.

4. Motorola Droid Turbo 2
You have to keep the battery in; however, it does offer an efficient wireless charge. Plus, it can run up to 24 hours with 3,760 mAh.

5. Samsung Galaxy S5
Yep, once again the battery can’t be removed, although the battery can be wirelessly charged to offer up to 20 hours of power with 2800 mAh.
