The brew gods have already gifted us with beer-infused donuts. Now it’s time we bless our palettes with donut-flavored beer.
Mystic Brewery is teaming up with Union Square Donuts to create a Boston Cream Porter. The limited-edition beer is thick and rich with a strong taste of chocolate, vanilla cream and hints of nutmeg. Every sip of this porter will remind you of the tasty and classic dessert it’s inspired by.
The Boston Cream Porter is one of the first canned beers that Mystic Brewery is launching this fall and they are celebrating with a kick-off party this weekend. This will be your chance to try the Boston Cream Porter just hours after it’s been fully canned.
Guests will also get to try the newly launched beer on tap. For the foodies out there, you can pair the porter with treats from Union Square Donut at the event.
The local favorite will provide bite-sized donut rounds called “doughies.” They’re made of the same brioche-inspired dough as their donuts, so they’re just as delicious. Try one of the many flavors including Boston cream, maple bacon, brown butter hazelnut crunch and sea salted bourbon caramel.
Mystic Brewery is a Chelsea-based brewery that specializes in farmhouse-style ales. All the yeast and ingredients they use are locally sourced so they can give their customers an authentic taste of New England with all of their beers. The new collaboration is part of Mystic Brewery’s Fabrication Series, a line of experimental beers that was created to rewrite the rules of beer making by putting a strong emphasis on flavor construction. The Boston Cream Porter is their latest appetizing addition.
