This is why Brie Larson didn’t clap for Casey Affleck

You may recall that at the Oscars, Brie Larson was tasked with presenting the award for this year’s Best Actor. And when Casey Affleck, the subject of numerous sexual harassment allegations, won the award, Larson refrained from clapping, with a hardened expression of “IDGAF” etched on her face.

Now, the 27-year-old is acknowledging her silent protest. “I think that whatever it was that I did onstage kind of spoke for itself,” she said in an interview with Vanity Fair.“I’ve said all that I need to say about that topic.” According to The Independent, the actress has long been an outspoken advocate for sexual assault survivors, and according to me, she does not have time for Casey Affleck’s alleged shenanigans.
