One of the greatest quarterbacks to ever lace them up turns the big 4-0 today.
Tom Brady has put together a Hall of Fame career with the New England Patriots after being an afterthought of a college prospect at Michigan.
Five Super Bowl rings, two MVP’s, 12 Pro Bowls and a horribly awkward wax figure are just some of the highlights of his time in Boston as we take a look at some of his greatest moments on the field:
Super Bowl XXXVI
After taking over for the injured Drew Bledsoe, Brady ran with the Patriots starting job all the way to his first Super Bowl win in 2002.
Facing the “Greatest Show on Turf” in a St. Louis Rams team that featured Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, Brady directed a 53-yard drive in the game’s final moments to set up Adam Vinatieri’s game-winning field goal.
Brady went 5-for-8 with for all 53 of those yards during the drive:
Setting the single-season touchdown record
Before the monumental upset in Super Bowl XLII, the Patriots traveled to Jersey to face the New York Giants with a chance to complete a perfect regular season, which they managed to do in a 38-35 victory.
The game featured further confirmation that Brady was leading one of the greatest offenses ever seen, setting what was then a single-season record with 50 touchdown passes. On the 65-yard strike to Randy Moss, Brady also helped the receiver break a single-season record of his own with his 23rd touchdown reception:

Had it not been for this controversial call in the 2001 AFC Divisional Round against the Oakland Raiders, who knows if Brady and the Patriots would at this level of greatness?

The Tennessee Titans never stood a chance during their 2009 Week 6 matchup with Brady and the Pats.
With the snow falling, Brady assaulted Tennessee’s secondary in the second quarter, recording five touchdowns in a 10-minute span.
He ended the day with six touchdowns as the Patriots annihilated the Titans 59-0:
